Hans B Wendel (b. 1986) is a Los Angeles-based architectural designer, artist, and educator whose diverse work spans the intersections of architecture, art, and design. He earned his Master’s degree in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art from Colorado College.
Hans's career has taken him across continents, with significant professional experience in both Buenos Aires and Los Angeles. His work includes high-profile projects like the schematic design and planning of Kanye West’s Yeezy domes in Calabasas, Malibu, and Wyoming, showcasing his ability to merge visionary architecture with cultural innovation.
Beyond architecture, Hans has been active in the commercial art world, not only as a creator but also as a translator for performances and sales, bridging the gap between artistic expression and commerce. His own artwork has been exhibited internationally, with shows in contemporary art galleries such as Zavaletalab in Buenos Aires and Burnt Crayon Sandwich in Los Angeles.
Currently, Hans manages the Making Complex, the fabrication lab at Woodbury University’s School of Architecture, where he continues to influence the next generation of designers and artists through his hands-on approach to education and design innovation.
